Taylor Farms, a major U.S. food producer responsible for approximately 40% of American salad kits, is withdrawing roughly 20 jalapeno-containing products from stores across 26 states due to salmonella contamination concerns. The recall affects various items including dips, sandwiches, and salsas sold at major retailers like Walmart, Target, and Whole Foods, though no illnesses have been reported from these specific products yet. The contaminated peppers originated from a grower in Sinaloa, Mexico, through Taylor Farms' supplier Coast Citrus Distributors.
